Serene daybreak.

I was making a trip to the bathroom  at 5.00am when I decided to take a peek through the upstairs landing window to see if it was raining. The forecast being rain pretty much, in some shape or form, all day.
    The sky was beautiful so I actually crept downstairs and wandered up the garden in my nightdress to take a photo and enjoy the serenity. 
    The air was cool and sharp, with a freshness which surrounded me. 
It was quiet aside from the early blackbird, and the clattering (I write that word deliberately,) of the magpie. 
     Once back in the house I snuggled down again, dozing until breakfast, when the rain had arrived.
