Race to the finishing line

Woke up feeling better for a good nights sleep and a sleeping pill even though I was up early to collect a couple of friends form the airport at 8.30. While they had a cat nap plans were made for the food for the rest of the day.

Our friends went out to have a look around Edinburgh and the girls went out for some retail therapy while I stayed in to do some of the cooking.
Large joint of gammon, cheese, leak and bacon quiche, cheese scones, jacket spuds and rum truffles were all completed in time by numerous hands.

A fellow blipper came up to join the party of eating food and drinking to the small hours, which included a couple of board games. It was a close call during the F1 game all the way to the end. Surprise surprise someone cheated in Cluedo again. Steve could be forgiven as it was his first time playing and a large amount of booze had been consumed by them.

Managed to watch the fireworks from the bedroom window, which were quite impressive this year, as they seemed to be from Carlton Hill and the Castle at the same time.

Finally managed to get to bed at 3am.
