Today we went to Wareham to walk around the walls. It’s an interesting walk that goes almost round the town. Stopped off at St Martins in the Walls church. It’s the oldest church and the most complete example of an Anglo Saxon church in Dorset. It’s reputed to have been founded by St Aldhelm in the 7th century and the present building dates from about 1030. An amazing place.
