Small Skipper
I think the strong breeze has put paid to seeing many butterflies today but I'm always pleased to blip a Skipper; last summer we were spoilt with all the lovely butterflies that seemed to be everywhere. I suppose there's still time this year but it's getting ever shorter.
I was in South Elmsall this morning which is only about a 10 minute drive from Pontefract so I decided to make a detour on my way home and visit the castle there. I'm glad I didn't make a special trip though because although it's very well maintained there isn't an awful lot to see.
Many thanks for visiting my journal and for the responses to yesterday's blip.
