French Marigold...

We had a trip over to the Home Farm Trust Orford House in Ugley. This is a care home for people with learning difficulties. They have a small garden centre there which provides therapeutic activity for the service users at the home.

We took over our collection of plant pots and seed trays as they are always pleased to get them. While there we brought some plants and this afternoon I planted some French Marigolds in a planter. I've always liked the rather pungent smell of these plants... Scents can be very evocative, one sniff of these takes me right back to my childhood, my dad grew them in our garden...
