Bringing in the new year in style!

After a few hours sleep I took Kirsty to the train station (at 9.20am!!!!!), encountering eight police cars parked around Buccleuch Street and a police car sitting behind me at some traffic lights with an angry man handcuffed in the back and a harassed-looking policeman in the front.

We had cups of tea watching Ugly Betty before going for brunch at Red Squirrel on Lothian Road - although with all the closed roads it was a bit difficult to find somewhere to park! We all had big breakfasts before setting off back down the motorway.
