Edinburgh zoo

It was a beautiful day but the girls couldn't be persuaded to come geocaching, so we went to Edinburgh Zoo. It is open EVERY day of the year, after all, the animals still need looking after, so seemed a good thing to do.

iPhones aren't the best to get animal shots, but I noticed, for the first time, a set of beautiful railings with animals, birds and insects. There were these penguins, for which Edinburgh zoo is famous, a big cat, a chimp and also branches of leaves with a snail or caterpillar etc on them.

I do like the detail and a new discovery.
