Messiah

Usher Hall, Edinburgh for the 126th annual performance of Handel's Messiah by the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union.

I usually see lots of people that I know, and my husband and father-in-law both sing in the choir. The concert starts at noon and there is a 30 minute picnic break at about 1pm. I remember coming years and years ago with a little sandwich and carton of juice, but my mother-in-law now provides turkey rolls, cake, red wine, oranges, etc etc.

I think I may have been at 25 of these or so, minus a few when the girls were little, finding a babysitter on 2 January during the day was not trivial!

It now feels like a New Year. Bring it on!
