Thurstaston beach

I took this shot this afternoon at Thurstaston beach, Wirral. This is a lovely walk and feel lucky to live nearby. From the cliff edges are stunning views across the River Dee estuary and mud flats over to Wales on the horizon. This area provides amazing opportunities for photography enthusiasts on the one hand, with fabulous sunsets being on the west coast; and for nature lovers, the bird watchinig opportunities are excellent. The area itself is an important ecological site of special scientific interest within the UK.
