Kissing Gate.........

......but nobody to kiss!

We took the opportunity - along with the rest of the population of the Shropshire/Welsh border country - to make the most of our first dry day for almost three weeks, and give the dogs a good walk and enjoy the fresh air ourselves.

At this point, Mrs DD, Bananablip and the two mutts had walked on ahead whilst I chatted with a couple on the way up to the top of Rodney's Pillar.

It's surprising how much better you feel after a good, muddy walk, enjoying the scenery and passing the time of day with other 'escapees!'

You will note the effects of the flooding in the background and, whilst it has not been as bad around here as in other parts of the country, it is good to see the flood waters receding at last. It is supposed to be fine and dry now for the next two weeks at least.
