A Devon scene
27 people decided to walk the organised walk with my walking group today from Upottery to Honiton today. The bus driver refused to take any of us and told us that another bus would follow in 10 minutes. There was no other phantom bus so we had to resort to plan B and so 6 people drove full cars of people. The walk was very rural taking in some delightful villages of chocolate box thatched houses and fields of cattle. We disturbed these particular cattle and so some of them decided to go in the river which produced a pleasing image. We had no sunshine today but it was humid. The day didn’t start well as we had a power cut and were unable to get either of our cars out of the garage so had to walk around to a friend to ask her to take us. We were supposed to have picked her up. Neither our phones or our mobiles would work. I asked a neighbour this evening and the power wasn’t down for too long, just at the wrong time for us going out this morning.
