View from the crematorium

Back at the end of January I blipped about Pete , artist, musician, bird expert, wanderer and the brother of our good friend Geoff. He'd disappeared near Skibbereen just before Christmas. A few months later in March a body was discovered in the river. No foul play, probably an accident. But it was only recently the tests were conclusive enough for things to come to their natural conclusion.
We said goodbye today, many from Cape Clear Island attended as well as family and friends from near and far. Some of his ashes will be scattered on Cape, where he lived for some years and where Geoff still has his home, some ashes to his home town in Devon and later some will be scattered in Marangu, near Kilimanjaro in Tanzania where Pete lived for many years too.
