Slow to wake

Riding into the domain this morning, the fog was wisping around over the playing fields (more correctly it was mist). The geese were not on the road as they had been yesterday morning. Some were on the water in the "duck ponds", while as many again were still on the islands in the middle of the small lakes appearing to have just woken.
