nos galan

the excitement continued as today was nos galan! haha! to keep ourselves entertained we went bowling for a bit and i still ache days later!! i was quite excited about doing another race but as it was quite short we all felt quite relaxed about it! it was definitely a surreal feeling lining up at the start with my mum, cousin and little brother! i never thought we would be a family that did sporting events together! gaz turned out to be quite a natural at running (this was his first race!) and bekkie sped off too! i said i would keep mum company and keep her going and it was really nice to run with her - i was pretty impressed with her quiet determination as this was her first race too! it was really nice that anne, paul, garreg, gill, tony and jack all turned up to watch and cheer us on! will this be the first of many?! who knows! the rest of the evening was spent drinking too much wine and eating takeaway whilst discussing new years resolutions! mine are too get a new job to potentially stop spending time doing stupid meaningless bullshit and the other one is to try and get involved in some more volunteering - let's see how it goes! :-)
