Delicate Flowers

I have never really noticed the sweet chestnut before. I will need to keep an eye on how the fruits develop.

There was only a short walk with PD this morning (he still has a sore foot) and at least the temperature was sufferable - mainly thanks to the wind. It made getting a picture of the Cardinal Beetle interesting. The Larch cone was easier, but I suspect the tiny drops of water wouldn't last long as the sun came out.

We took the monsters to The Larder when we went to meet Mr & Mrs Mac for coffee.
I have to say, they were very well behaved ….. so were the kids.

The kids have been at the park twice today and after the second time they left SWMBO in their wake as they ran home. They were a bit red and sweaty when they got back - even though it is only two to three hundred yards.

Roll on the thunder that is meant to clear the air tonight.
