Big Cat Sanctuary

Ages and ages ago we bought tickets for one of the Big Cat Sanctuary’s rare open days... today. We were just very unlucky that it has been the hottest day of the year... the hottest July day on record in the UK.

However, we went for a few hours and, despite the heat, had a nice time. Many of the cats were hiding, keeping cool in their shady trees and hidey holes.

I have blipped Giles Clark - you might recognise him from “Big Cats About The House” which was on the BBC a while back where he hand reared tiger cubs and then a jaguar cub in his home.

L got to see her favourites... Simba, Nala and Mufasa... although they’re not named that here and we weren’t going to dampen her enjoyment.
