Juvenile Jay
I was watching birds at the hide today when suddenly they all took off; the reason was that they'd seen a pair of Jays heading their way and deemed it safer to disappear for a short while. The pair in question were a parent and juvenile - the parent wasn't much interested in what was going on but the youngster came to have a look but once he noticed the adult was leaving he was soon off too and the smaller birds returned.
Many thanks for visiting my journal, I hope you all have a great weekend - despite the high temperatures.
