The scene of a crime!

I hadn't been to this part of the garden until this evening and under this bush there was the remains of ,  I would think ,   a wood pigeon.  This bush had been used by  the birds to nest this year but in the last few days we have found two or three  remains of  something killing them in both front and back gardens which had left just the feathers.
