We went for ..........

.........a drive through the Avon Valley today. 
It was an exercise to try to rekindle my waning enthusiasm for photography. 
No iPhones used today ;-))
It was quite overcast and not too many people about so very pleasant. 

We saw some of the power boats practicing for next weekend's Avon  Descent, a huge, weekend long, river race from Northam to the lower reaches of the Avon where it reaches the Swan River. There are all types of craft from kayaks, surf skis, paddle boards and canoes, to special power boats. Quite a spectacle but we will be at "the other house" down south. They must navigate rocks and rapids so hopefully there will be enough water in the river.
