We were over at one of my wife's sister's house for a family New Year lunch. With everyone growing a bit older each year, it does seem remarkable that the Christmas season with her side of the family have remained so consistent. It's hard to believe that the eldest child will probably be leaving the family nest in a few years' time.
This portrait was taken post-dinner, when the kids have moved onto their respective mobile-phone/Playstation/iTouch/Fireman-Sam-jigsaw diversions, whilst the parents try to decipher the contents of Now That's what I call Music 83. This fine example of dinner party music being the choice of this subject. In my days it was as inoffensive as you can get Life for Rent...
