Diary of an Edinburgher

Epic buns

Lovely rain today, which was a good excuse to stay in bed for a while, listening to the news and then some podcasts, while dozing. JR, of course, was up and out with Archie and then off to her gym session. Really hard work today - heavy kettle bells (sounds awful).

The rain eased off by the afternoon, and so we dandered down to another local (dog friendly) cafe that we haven’t been to in quite a while. And we were very impressed. Not only did they do a good flat white and long black, but they did not charge extra for soya milk - foc on the menu! Brilliant. And they had large, warm, delicious cinnamon buns. And they gave Archie a treat from the doggie treat cupboard. It's our new favourite cafe, though a couple of blocks further away than the Red Box. Archie is waiting while JR bought some cheese.

Home for a wee lie down (me) and then over to visit our neighbour who is just back from holiday. Stayed longer than intended, as usual, but we leave Archie with his favourite old bone filled with peanut butter. He was still obsessing over it when we came home, and he never complains about long we’ve been.

Elizabeth didn’t come for Archie today and she has visitors, but he had no idea it was Saturday, so wasn’t expecting her.
