The Last Drop

Right before the last of the sun's rays disappeared behind the encroaching clouds, they lit up the meadow and shone a spotlight on a lone milkweed.

A lovely soft warm light allowed the delicate pinks to show up in the image against a backdrop of greens and a few spots of bright yellow. Rim lighting just catches the edges of the main flower giving it a nice silhouette.

I tried to position the camera to create a relationship between my subject and the out of focus stem behind and to the left of it.
