The Kings Cross Lighthouse

After an impossibly over-heated week in the city, a dull day, so dull in fact that even this lighthouse couldn’t penetrate the gloom.

No-one really seems to know what this strange finial flourish is looking out over the toxic roundabout of Kings Cross.
I enjoyed the myths that it was a dislocated funfair helterskelter, even a camera-obscura but now it seems the likelihood is that it was an extravagant advert for a C19th Oyster Bar far below.
