Fire and Water

It continued to teem down in Manchester today. And lots of trains were cancelled so the one I ended up on had standing room only and was also delayed enough that I'd miss my bus from Edinburgh and have to wait almost an hour for the next one. So it was really lovely that S came and picked me up from Lockerbie. An hour less standing on the train, no waiting for the bus and no bus journey. Home nearly two hours earlier than expected to civilised weather, excited dog, sweet and sour chicken and the fire pit. After almost a week away, for all that it was an enjoyable work and pleasure trip, it's lovely to be home:-)
