Painted Lady Butterfly

Off to the company office for the morning commute for company admin stuff. It is warm and muggy. Thankfully the rain stopped just before leaving home. Once the admin stuff is dine, its off to the client office. It feels pretty hot, especially cycling into the west wind. A bit of a struggle.

Just a quick walk at lunchtime, but I am rewarded with not one, but two butterflies. They don't fly off as soon as I get close. (this is because I am not in a woodland, and so they can see me approaching from a long way off!!). On yellow daisies, I spot a Painted Lady. Then on the thistles a Small Tortoiseshell.

As I had a mid-morning commute on top of my initial commute, I leave a wee bit later than usual. Still muggy, and with spits and spots of rain, but nothing significant.
