Today's the day . . . . . . . . when the heavens opened

Even though we still live on the wet west of the country, I'd forgotten that it could rain that hard.

Of course, this is Wales I suppose - and they really know how to do downpours here!  We were more or less confined to quarters for the first part of the day so it was good that we had comfortable quarters. Eventually though the rain did stop and we were able to go out for a walk in the grounds of Dinefwr Castle, near Llandeilo.

Something else had the same idea too.  This badger was going about its business in the next field and seemed quite oblivious to us . . . . . . . .
