First day of the year spent eating steak pie. Good start to the year! We had my parents and sister round which was nice. I love the preparation part of setting the table to sit round and preparing the food to eat. Two of the kids spent the morning upstairs playing which also helped the preparation process:) The 1st of January is also Granny's birthday so a cake was made and enjoyed. It's good to make a little fuss over our parents.
The rest of the day was spent lazing on the sofa and enjoying family time. The kids love when Daddy doesn't have to work and they didn't hold back in telling him that yesterday as they climbed all over him and slid down his legs like a play park slide. Much cuteness. I love watching those moments.
