Ermita de San Antón

A supposedly easier today in the hills after the two previous days but of course the walk ended up slightly more epic than we first imagined. We left the Real Monasterio de San Victorián on  a walk up to the Ermita de la Espelunga another hermitage cut into a vertical cliff face fairly high up on the side of the Peña Montañesa, this little hermitage is passed on the way up and was rather fabulous on the inside.

The walk ended up quite steep and rather more open than we imagined which was not too troublesome apart from the heat on the way up but on the way down it made it tricky when trying to outrun an epic thunderstorm!
