Lammas Day Dragon

I felt a bit sorry for this migrant hawker dragonfly. It was flitting back and forth looking for somewhere to roost at 8:30 pm when along I came trying to get a pic of it. The light was fading so, unusually for me, I used flash. I haven't had much time for photography today as I've been ferrying MrQ around. This afternoon I took him to see an old musician friend in Doddinghurst. The harvest is well on its way this Lammas Day.
