RRS Discovery from the V&A
A bright day
My wife and I paid a visit to the V&A Design Museum where we saw the main collection - video games design and development. It was fascinating but a different world from the one I inhabit and I reckon I am too old to get into it now.
While there we had a cup of tea in the restaurant, which had great views over the Tay and the Rail Bridge. It also provided this unique vantage point to see the RRS Discovery from higher up than usual.
The Discovery is a barque-rigged auxiliary steamship built for Antarctic research, and launched in 1901. She was the last traditional wooden three-masted ship to be built in the United Kingdom.
