High in a manuka tree
Out west this afternoon at daughter C’s home. While S was busy helping Mr H with chemistry revision, Young L and I went for a walk in the long narrow park running beside the creek. Many swallows fed on the insects we stirred up by walking on the path, or grass when avoiding large puddles. A few Piwakawaka were also flitting around; too fast for me to get the framing and focus right.
The kotare sat on a branch in a tall manuka tree, for well and truly long enough for me to get this photo, and another not quite as good.
