The Good Life

My Natural History Society was invited to go and visit a smallholding today to have a look at the wildlife on the site. The place is run as a Trust and provides a haven for people with special needs and mental health issues. They grow vegetables and have an orchard, they  keep ducks and chickens and Soay sheep. I looked at birds, butterflies and fungi - butterflies won out in numbers, but there were quite a lot of young birds around too, like this swallow.
