ID parade

Think I need a moth identification kit for this chap/ chapess. Measuring a podgy 1cm plus wide and approx 8cm long I’d love to know what this will turn into. Beautiful velvet like skin and false eye patterns, the only flaw is it’s been slugged (hence that slimy light mark on its back).

Update: I think this is an Elephant Hawk Moth (well that’s what it will become!)
