Humid

It was a hot and humid day (humidity at 80% at one point). I washed a lot of hand-wash only clothes using some lovely smelling Eco soap but they took ages to dry given the humidity (but surreal).

Had a very minimalist, simple brunch outside (I didn’t have to make it which was nice).

Watering my vegetables is taking ages right now. I’m growing some giant tomatoes and it’s a delicate balance to not overwater them (so far so good). I never know if to water much less when it’s so humid?! MrH seems intent on fitting an outdoor tap (he removed the previous one a few years ago), that may make watering tasks easier.

I did a bit of gardening as the climbing roses needed a haircut.

MrH tried to vacuum pack some suits and formal clothes he never wears so he has more room in his wardrobe. I think that job was a success.

We irritatingly discovered that this year’s moths have infected a bedding box and eaten a few holes in some wooden blankets. I got blamed for not putting enough moth balls and the like out, I’d actually put quite a lot out this year, just not in that box unfortunately.

Blip is of a lovely salad I had with dinner.

Grateful today for:

Refreshing cold water and ice on tap

How well my tomatoes are growing - it’s a bumper crop and some of the tiger ones have a lovely pattern to their skins

Time to sit and relax reading a book
