No popcorn!

London is like a ghost town on New Year's Day and it's no surprise given the amazing fireworks display and celebrating that was put on last night.

We decided to do something lazy and watch the 'Hobbit' at the new Barbican cinema. They have done it really well with a great cafe but they don't sell popcorn which we were rather gutted about. Crisps, sweets, drinks, sausage rolls but no popcorn. Surly this is a basic requirement of a cinema?

I wasn't bowled over by the film but I don't think it was helped by the small 3D glasses which left me feeling like I was viewing it through a letterbox! The visuals are amazing but I think I've just become accustomed to them from the LOTR.
