Escape to the verdant banks of the River North Esk
The weather conspired to thwart almost everything. Bucketing down all morning which prevented a run up to the reservoirs.
Escaped from the frying pan into the fire by taking Doreen to Dobbies for lunch and a browse around the store. I don’t have the shopping stamina of a 94 year old in a wheelchair so after a while, now that the rain had stopped, I went to explore the local area to find the River North Esk.
Not easy, I could hear it, glimpse it through the trees, it was only by forcing my way through undergrowth and over fallen logs that I managed today’s blip.
We did manage a brief stroll around Balerno after dinner which went some way to bringing a positive end to the day.
