Or it will be when free parking comes to an end in this handy car park just off Romsey town centre. The authorities deemed this section of car park to be free while town centre roadworks were being carried out with contractors equipment and base taking up existing available limited time free space on street.
But with work now nearing an end, the town council say this alternative parking will revert to a normal pay and display park in a month’s time.
No doubt countless others, like me, who have found these spaces handy when making a quick call to just one or two shops in the centre, or to the bank or Post Office will look upon the end of this concession with dismay!
