The next stage

The little one has his first full day at nursery today, and I am dreading it, in part because his previous settling in sessions did not go smoothly, and that was for an hour at a time.

I therefore decided that I'll drop him off a little late this morning, and pick him up later on in the afternoon, as otherwise it will end up being a very long day for him.

So, yes as previously mentioned in other posts, I have to look upon this next stage as being a positive stepping stone, for him to engage with babies his own age and to meet new people and see new places, learn and build on his social skills. But still, I can't help but feel anxious leaving him with 'strangers' and not being home with me, but that's a normal parenting instinct, isn't it? Or is that just me?!
