Mono Monday: Melange

When I saw the challenge for today, I knew I had to go to Sky Nursery, to find one of their wonderful baskets filled with lots of different plants.  This is the display that was in the concrete planter at the entrance to the store - a true melange of plants.  You can see the variety of colors in the Extra.

On my way out this afternoon, I stopped by the office to ask if any 2 bedroom 50% apartments were becoming available.  There are none.  Then I asked about how they are calculating income, since I'd heard that had changed.  Now they are counting my own money that I take out of my IRAs as income, which seems wrong.  When I said that to the manager, she said "Well, you have your President Trump to thank for that."  And without pausing for thought I said, "Don't call him my president - if I saw him on the street I'd shoot him if I had a gun."  I really suprised myself with that - I'm opposed to guns.  But I think it says something about how visceral my response was.  Waking up every day to new mean and nasty announcements of destructive policy just eats away at me.

I heard back from May's ARNP today, after I called a second time.  Apparently she had forgotten that she needed to do the medication change for May (!) and she thanked me for reminding her.  She will be adding the new medication while slowly tapering May off the old one, a good plan.  I hope that can start soon.

I forgot to mention that I got a call from the vet's office.  It turns out they did test that sample of Minkelina's that I left there, and they found nothing to be worried about.  So that's a relief.
