Roof Removal
My morning was spent wheelbarrowing roof tiles and stacking them by the boundary wall, around thirty at a time. Mike was taking them off the half of the building we are living in. And so we have a ceiling, but no roof; it would be rather inconvenient if it rained, much as we'd love it to.
He carried on working after lunch, but I was wrecked. Shows how unfit I've become.
Does seem sad to be removing these so-full-of-character old tiles, but the panels will be so much better at keeping out cold and heat and bugs. Maybe we can find a way of using them eventually.
Gratefuls:
- progress
- physical labour
- phone conversations
