Ham-tastic

Here we are in the homeland of ham - Parma.

Long journey with about a billion tunnels and viaducts between here and home. Helpful start to the journey when a man tasked with closing a road couldn't think of an alternative way for us to get to the motorway, so just reopened the road for us.

I've not kept up to date with local news, but there was evidently some sort of tornado - dozens of plane trees down in the road and a big clean up to do.

Along the way Tall girl used her car media slot for Hamilton, CarbBoy entertained us with a surprisingly astute 60s - 90s music playlist, and Mr B alternated Radio 4 podcasts and rock.

Dinner out tonight, then a madly long route march home in the absence of the promised taxis.
