New Year resolutions
My one New Year resolution is to de-clutter my life so this afternoon I took a bundle of stuff to a charity shop in Stirling.
Apparently the average house has at least £700 worth of goods that are never used.
Self-help guru Mary Lambert has written a book, Living With Less, to help you get your possessions down to a 100 items.
After all, do we really need 14 vases, 20 pairs of shoes and six anoraks?
The secret is to: "Say no to shopping."
Remember the artist, Michael Landy who destroyed all 7,226 of his possessions in public in London a few years ago?
Well I have no intention of going that far.
But a reduction of 25 per cent would be a start.
E-bay here I come...
