Snowy Owl

It was our granddaughter Emily’s first birthday today - where has the year gone? We went down to Doncaster to take our canine visitors home and then then we all went out for the day to "Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife And Falconry Centre” near Sheffield.

We had a lovely day out - there were lots of butterflies in the tropical house. Emily was really excited to see all the animals, although it all got bit much and she fell asleep during one of the parrot flying displays! This snowy owl was unimpressed at having its photo taken.

We had to dodge a few showers but we all had a good time.

We headed back to their house to open presents and cards and, mostly importantly, have some cake. Eldest granddaughter Jessica had helped mummy make it the day before.
