Hooligans

Over the last couple of days our garden has been invaded by a gang of starlings! They descend en masse and attack the berries on the hedgerow, the feeders and basically anything on the ground. The noise is amazing as they squawk and squabble over the food!

There were around twenty of them today and most appear to be older juveniles (?teenagers) as they still have a few plain brown feathers mixed in the sparkly adult ones.

I was sitting at the dining table wrapping birthday presents - and the patio door was open so I had a clear shot. It was quite dark so the ISO went a bit high.

Emily’s second birthday today and we had a small gathering at their house for a while this afternoon. She enjoyed her presents...including a large slide which occupied pride of place in the living room for today.
