We went into Edinburgh today. Charlie wanted to go to the museum, Sarah to the Uni library and Samuel to get a case for his guitar. As for Fiona and I, I do sometimes forget that we may want to do stuff as well, so long has it been since we've been able to exercise any kind of spontaneous or selfish will.

We got back mid afternoon and had a bite to eat. With the sun starting to dip and the street lights starting to come on I asked if anyone fancied a dark walk in the woods and everyone was up for it. It was great. It never quite reached the darkness of night but it was dark enough to add layers of eeriness to spooky stories and cause our stomachs to jump at snapping sounds from the dim forest interior.
