Revealed in the shadows

I grabbed some time this afternoon; between a meeting with other members of the inpatient unit management team, and the monthly forensic liaison meeting. To have a walk in the Auckland Domain. Sandwiches and coffee accompanied the former meeting.

The latter once again confirmed that we have the knowledge and resources to make the decisions that need to be made with these difficult clinical problems. When the identified dangerousness of the patient is related to acute illness recurring because of stopping medication, it doesn't need a forensic opinion to tell us what to do.

During my walk, I saw the two Muscovy Ducks again. I also saw a sculpture by Christine Hellyar, called Spring, which is dated 2004. It consists of two bronze ponga fronds and three large chunks of basalt, the whole being a commemoration of the site of the first public water supply in colonial Auckland, previously known (and now again often known) as Tamaki Makarau.
