Charlotte Square

- gets transfomed into the Book Festival every year. Four authors today culminating in the excellent and entertaining Ian Rankin but including one guy Mark Boyle who claims to have lived for three years now without technology or money.  I expect he made a bit of money from appearing at the festival. He was on with another unusual guy who has written about catching moles. Quite a contrast to the session with Alan Rushbridger, former editor of The Guardian talking about how to pay for the news when we want constantly updated news for free on our smart phones. It would have been interesting to get him on the stage with Mark Boyle who has thrown his phone away.
