Hogmanay

Hogmanay or New Year's Eve was spent at our friends house. We take turns hosting each year but this year we thought we would be at the maternity hospital or taking it easy as our wee boy was due on the 1st of January. As it turns out, he got to see in his first Hogmanay and even woke up at 11:55am just in time for 'The Bells'. For the 2nd year in a row, my friend and I failed to get the chinese lantern airborne and had to watch on with envy as a steady stream of them passed overhead. Third time lucky in 2014???

I had been wanted to take a photo of our friends tree since they put it up and only got round to it on Hogmanay - so a bit of a non-New Year blip. Lucky I did, as it got chopped up and stuck in the recycler the following day!
