Packed plants

We’re away a few days and the forecast is for more super-hot African air. I moved the plants into semi-shade in trays of water in the hope they will survive.

We have been processing produce like the possessed: gherkins, aubergine, dried courgettes, frying green peppers (friggitele) and lastly tomatoes- the traditional San Marzano plum tomatoes, oval Ribelle and a big round tomato in separate batches of passata - a lot of work but absolutely divine when skinned, cored, seeded and reduced after passing through a Mouli.

An early morning shot as extra
