Up and away

Atop the main Apennine ridge looking west into the Garfagnana. A friend tells me the thermometer hit 35c back in the Casentino. Edinburgh a delightful 17c with no mosquitoes nor the plague of horseflies that was driving me mad - the gadders.

Up at 5am to water and then leave the garden to fend for itself.

The Alps around Mt Blanc were spectacular. And the Apuan Alps begins Massa Carrara weren’t bad. Extras
